AkalStars is made up of partners, Ghansham Singh and Charanpal Kaur. The talented duo combines traditional Gurbani with a hint of Western musical influence, and offers a beautiful fusion of the rich history of Sikhi and the contemporary rhythms of modern music. Known for their out-of-this-world kirtan style, they also incorporate rock, pop and jazz elements into their music. Their music is a reflection of the universal message of Gurbani - which teaches us to connect with the divine through music and prayer.
