Bhai Jaspinder Singh (Hazuri Ragi)

Bhai Jaspinder Singh Hazoori Ragi, a renowned Sikh musician, is a proud torchbearer of his family’s rich legacy in Gurbani music. Born on 30th June 1986 in Dina Nagar, Gurdaspur, Punjab, he inherited his love for music from his grandfather, Bhai Sunder Singh, who was also a famous Gurbani musician. Bhai Jaspinder Singh Hazoori Ragi’s parents, Sardar Mohinder Singh and Sardarni Ravinder Kaur, supported and encouraged him to pursue his passion for music. Bhai Jaspinder Singh Hazoori Ragi received formal training in Gurbani music under the guidance of several Gurus, including Bhai Sunder Singh, Om Prakash Rampal Kala Kendra, Bhai Dalbir Singh Soch, and Prof. Kartar Singh. He also received a degree in Gurmat Sangeet from Gurmat Sangeet Academy, Anandpur Sahib, in 2009. He is well-versed in classical vocal and instrumental music and contemporary Keertan. His musical style is a beautiful blend of Raag, Devotional, and Contemporary Keertan. Since 2012, Bhai Jaspinder Singh Hazoori Ragi has been serving as the Hazoori Ragi at Darbar Sahib. He began his career as a professional Gurbani singer in 2009 as a Hazoori Ragi Manji Sahib. Over the years, he has won several accolades and awards, including a Gold Medal in contests organized by Patiala University.
