The 7th Covid center set up by SGPC is at Gurdwara Sri Bhattha Sahib in Ropar (Rupnagar). The 25 bed center is active and arrangements are being made to provide oxygen concentrators.
Earlier in the week Guru Nanak College, Budhlada in Mansa district (25-bed center) was inaugurated.
Thus the centers set up by SGPC to date are:
1. 25 beds - Rupnagar ~ Gurdwara Sri Bhattha Sahib Ropar
2. 25 beds - Budhlada ~ Guru Nanak College
3. 25 beds - Sangrur ~ Gurdwara Sri Nankeana Sahib
4. 25 beds - Firozepur ~ Sahibzada Ajir Singh Public School near Gurdwara Jamni Sahib, Bajidpur
5. 25 beds - Bholath ~ near Royal Palace, Kapurthala district
6. 25 beds - Ludhiana ~ Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Alamgir
7. 50 beds - Takht Sri Damadama Sahib ~ Talwandi Sabo
In addition to these is the permanent facility in Amritsar: Sri Guru Ramdas Hospital which is providing 100 beds with oxygen.
Along with the opening of these centers SGPC encouraged those who need to receive care at these facilities where "they would be provided better treatment as well as (free) medicines and langar."
