Marketing Assistant (Part-time, remote)

 

JOB SUMMARY

SikhNet is a non-profit organization that provides spiritually uplifting content that is free and easily accessible to support a Sikh lifestyle and to inspire positive transformation. 

We are looking for a Marketing Assistant to join our global and diverse team who is positive-minded, detail-oriented, creative and committed, who can work closely with our Chief Experience Officer to assist with the implementation of tasks related to communications, marketing, website maintenance, social media, and graphic design that support a positive and inspirational user experience.

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide support to SikhNet Marketing through:

  • Assisting with managing the content calendar and associated tasks to ensure all pieces are ready for marketing deadlines.
  • Assisting with implementation and monitoring of marketing campaigns.
  • Assisting with the production of marketing materials
  • Writing, editing and publishing content for different platforms such as social media, website, and marketing emails.
  • Providing administrative support and project support for a variety of SikhNet services, as needed.
  • Coordinate and interface with content providers.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented and excellent at time management
  • Creative thinker
  • Technical understanding and the ability to pick up new tools quickly
  • Team player, who can work independently and as part of a group
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language
  • Lives in a compatible time zone to US for work collaboration
  • Aligned with SikhNet’s mission and values (Selfless, Inspirational, Kind, Honest & Inclusive)

 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Familiarity with all social media platforms
  • Familiarity with graphic design software such as Canva
  • Experience with Mailchimp, including email lists and segmentation
  • Experience with basic website editing
  • Experience with or willingness to learn Asana – our team project management system

 

DESIRED

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 1+ years of related experience
  • Experience in website content creation
  • Connected to the interests and needs of our Sikh audience

 

POSITION SUMMARY

Job Status: Part Time (20-hours per week)
Reports To: Chief Experience Officer

On-Site/Remote: Remote
