The next lecture in our SikhNet Scholar Series will be with Bhupinder Singh on March 14th 9.00pm EST. Bhupinder Singh has been a long-term contributor to SikhNet through his wonderfully original and well-researched articles.

This event will wrap up the first part of our SikhNet Scholar Series in 2023 with the first lectures having taken place in January with Simran Jeet Singh and February with Amardeep Singh . The SikhNet Scholar Series started in November 2022 with Dr Balkar Singh.

In a review of his book Dr. Sukhraj Singh Dhillon explains that Bhupinder Singh has picked one of the most important topics through his study of humilitythe absence of Ego/Haume and that which conveys the important message of Gurbani and the humbleness of Guru Sahiban (Hum nahee changae buraa nahee koe; Nanak neech kahai veechar).

In his book and in the upcoming lecture, our speaker has chosen the topic of Humility as he feels it isn't one that is discussed regularly in the Gurudwaras, but, Guru Nanak Dev was the epitome of humility, and he preached it throughout his life. "By writing about Humility, I was hoping to start a talk about it," says Bhupinder Singh.

In the upcoming lecture Bhupinder will touch on many aspects of the topic, reflecting on questions such as: Why Humility is important? How do we interact when we are humble and the benefits of this type of interaction? and What is the Pinnacle of Humility? among others.

Bhupinder Singh will present his lecture on March 14th at 9.00pm EST and it will be available to be viewed live and through the replay. PLEASE REGISTER HERE.
