Located on Fazilka Road in Abohar town of Punjab, Gurudwara Nanaksar Tobha serves as a remarkable testament to a visit made by Guru Nanak, the first Sikh Guru. During his journey towards Multan, now situated in Pakistan, Guru Nanak, accompanied by Bhai Bala and Bhai Mardana, sought respite under the shade of a Beri Tree beside a pond, where they stayed for a period of nine days.

This historical site holds deep significance for Sikhs and visitors alike, as it commemorates the spiritual journey and teachings of Guru Nanak. It is a place of great reverence and tranquillity, preserving the memory of that pivotal moment when Guru Nanak's wisdom and spirituality touched the hearts of those who gathered around him during his stay under the Beri Tree near Tobha. The Gurudwara stands as a timeless symbol of this sacred encounter and continues to be a place of spiritual reflection and devotion for people from all walks of life.

Holiness of the Sarovar 

Since then, the frail and sick have been visiting this sacred place to take a holy dip in the pond believed to possess miraculous healing powers. Hardeep Singh, the head Granthi, affirmed that Guru Nanak Dev Ji's visit sanctified this land. The hymns from the Guru Granth Sahib resonate  the air, captivating all who enter the Sanctum Sanctorum.

In this tranquil place, there is a pervasive sense of humility and devotion to the revered Guru, as everyone fondly recalls the moments when Guru Nanak walked these very grounds. The experience of immersing oneself in prayer and devotion, far from the chaos of daily life, elevates one's soul and spirit. The gurudwara holds a special place in the hearts of its visitors, as they come with their deep faith and unwavering belief, knowing that all their wishes may find fulfilment within its sacred precincts.
