Excited family members of women hockey team’s forward player Navneet Kaur, who hails from Shahabad in Kurukshetra, have high hopes and are confident that they will return with the gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics.
This will be the second attempt at the milestone swim for Kaur. Last year she made it almost halfway before running into a strong headwind, and started to experience hypothermia before leaving the water.
After relentless hard work, she has become the first girl in her village to graduate and secure an IT job. She joined as a Data Engineer Trainee at Systech, a Los Angeles based technology company.
