The “Sword of Baisakhi ’99”, crafted by Jot Singh Khalsa and fellow master artisans, was presented to Keshgar Sahib Gurdwara in Anandpur Sahib, India in April 1999, commemorating the 300th year anniversary of the “Birth of the Khalsa”.

Appraised at over $300,000, this sword became the inspiration for a new generation of personal and wedding swords – all with the heart of this magnificent sword, but at a modest cost.

Jot Singh is known and respected internationally for the classic and contemporary designs, craftsmanship, and artistry represented in the swords, kirpans and jewelry with which he honors and decorates the Sikh Panth. The finest raw materials, often including diamonds and pure gold, meticulous gemstone and precious metal inlays, and blades with Damascus steel have been incorporated into his work for many years. These are collectors’ items, often worth tens of thousands of dollars.

Some collectors have bought Jot Singh’s swords and knives over several decades, confidently anticipating their increased value in the future. A rather extensive list of awards and appreciation worldwide have further fueled enthusiastic response, including written and video media coverage in nine languages. With dedication and inspiration, Jot Singh has created a legacy in these unique art pieces.

Jot Singh also has a very practical side. In response to requests from friends and potential customers, he has worked diligently to create affordable jewelry, swords and kirpans with the same excellent craftsmanship. Today, kirpans with fine functional steel blades can be proudly worn by men and women as one of the “K’s” in their daily practice of Sikhi. And high-quality jewelry collections, within price ranges that fit all budgets, have been conceived to uplift and inspire those drawn to the innovatively designed sacred symbols. Many jewelry pieces have diamonds and other gems set in gold, silver, platinum or bronze settings.

It has long been a goal of Jot Singh’s to create wedding and personal swords that are handsome, elegant, and fully functional, with a price point most Sikhs could afford. Generally speaking, the sword occupies a special place in Sikh history; many Sikhs wish to bring that dignity to their Sikh weddings. So Jot Singh designed a sword intended to bring royalty and nobility to any wedding or to that Sikh household for lifetimes thereafter. The swords now being offered by Khalsa Kirpans are worthy of an honored place in any home or on any altar. There are 16 different versions of the sword for every budget and need, each offering the possibility of additional, customized inspirational and/or personalization options. They are exceptional swords with blades of the finest hardened and tempered stainless steel, with the best materials and construction used for each facet.
