Q: How do I build positive habits?

A: That is why we have sangat. Sangat is the company of like-minded people. They are walking on the same path as you so they can be honest with you and support you. They can be kind with you. 

To build a positive habit you have to consciously substitute a negative habit with a positive one. It is just like pratiyahar. Pratiyahar is the practice of cutting a negative thought with a positive one. This is how to control the mind. It is the same thing with a habit. With practice doing this substitution of habits, you will become more and more successful. During this process it's best to be with like-minded people.
